Man, I have to say I'm a little stoked right now.
I've been using the Snowflake Method to plot out my novel. I mean, it's up in my head and I kinda know what's going to happen, but I don't have really good characters yet. I have these cardboard cut-out people with no real purpose in life except to be in the role I've put them in.
Using this method, I know what has to happen, I know about the characters different viewpoints on what is going to happen, and I'm going to know how all of the scenes fit together. I've tried to use this method before, but I've always gotten to anxious to wait until I got through all nine steps before I lept into the writing, and I've always regretted it.
I'm halfway through step 5. Almost too excited to keep working. This process has made the book more real to me than any of my others. I've also discovered whole new ideas about what is going to happen, and how to link it all together....
*rubs hands together*
This is going to be cool ...
